Delivering a distinctive sound, the Magnetic delay type within EC-300 features the classic sound of tape delay units from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Capable of going anywhere from clean and vintage to dirty and gritty, the Magnetic delay mode can help you to add classic vibe and tone to your tracks. Unique to this delay type, the Magnetic mode features Wow and Flutter controls, provide low and high-frequency modulation respectively that occurs from magnetic tape material found on analog hardware. Additionally, a comprehensive EQ section is included, featuring high-pass, low-pass and mid-range parametric EQ controls. Ideal for mixing engineers and producers of hip-hop, indie, rock and pop, the Magnetic tape mode adds a huge amount of character and excitement to your loops, vocals and drums giving a new breath of life to your tracks.
Offering a clean, modern delay type, the Digital delay mode repeats with precision accuracy, spitting back in exactly what was played in, making it the ideal solution for contemporary pop mixes that require less character and more accuracy. With four EQ modes to choose from, you unlock a wide variety of tonal shaping options that can be set either pre or post delay routing to change how the sound is shaped within your signal path. Unique to the Digital mode, EC-300 offers over 75 SIM (synthetic impulse models) options from the critical acclaimed FutzBox plugin, giving you an abundance of effects integrated within the plugin, meaning you'll never need to reach for any external processors.
Although designed to be a more focused and pristine delay sound, the Digital mode offers fidelity controls, giving you the ability to adjust the Bit Depth and Saturation of your echo trails, allowing you to create distorted, warm and fuzzy lo-fi repeats, perfect for contemporary beat-making. Additionally, there is a modulation section with three types of LFO waveform, depth, rate and spread controls to add a huge amount of dynamism and excitement into your repeats, straying away from the conventional clean digital repeats of other plugins.
Lastly, the Analog delay mode produces grungy, dirty sounds from the '80s and '90s delay pedals that feature heavily on electric guitar and keyboard sounds of the era. While offering a wide range of delay options, it is extremely flexible and can provide lush, chorusing sounds that are synonymous with analog hardware units of the era. Featuring the same modulation controls as the Digital mode, you can create a huge array of unique tones that add excitement and movement to your tracks, taking them from monotonous static tracks to out of this world sounds.
