With the Control One in your rig you'll be unstoppable. Despite its small size, it is engineered to cover a lot of ground. You'll be free to easily reference your tracks on up to two pairs of speakers, this can be adjusted at the flick of a switch. Speaker pair A also provides the opportunity for you to integrate a subwoofer into your set-up. This guarantees you don't just hear the bass - you'll feel it too!
Thanks to cleverly devised electronics, you'll be able to easily switch between sources via the Control One's line-level output. This ensures no signal will be sacrificed when making adjustments. For even more monitoring power, you have the choice of three monitoring modes. These include stereo, mono and channel swap.
Monitoring consistency
The transition between headphones and speakers can feel strange when recording and mixing. The varied differences they offer can make it difficult for you to find "common-ground". SPL understand this and that's why the Control One comes complete with three adjustable headphone parameters. Create consistency by manipulating the crossfeed, speaker angle and centre value parameters. Thanks to these innovative features you'll be able to match your headphones to the response of your speakers in the room. The centre level comes set at -1dB and the speaker angle to 30 degrees. This is a good place to start as it is reflective of generic, real world conditions. Adjust the crossfeed value to determine the crosstalk that occurs between the left and right channels.
