Featuring two Music Man pickups (1-humbucker and 1-single coil), with 3-way custom wired lever switch, coil tap, and a hardtail bridge, players can achieve a wide range of tones, as the unique S/H pickup selection offers the funk rhythm sounds, familiar of Valentine's own playing style in Maroon 5. Another great feature is the push-push master volume and tone knobs for quick and easy control if your pedalboard is out of reach. The advantage of the James Valentine guitar is its ability to achieve many different sounds. Whether its a funky tone you're looking for, or a classic rock feel, this guitar has it all. Explore a whole world of textures by experimenting with various volume settings when using both pickups.
The smooth, roasted maple neck offers a beautiful, unique appearance and paired with a maple fingerboard it provides the guitar with clear and bright tones as well as fast playing. The neck features 22 high-profile, stainless steel frets, and is bolted on to the ash body with five bolts.
The beautiful swamp ash body has been ergonomically designed, and subtly tapers from a thicker bottom to a slightly thinner top. This wedge shape body also distributes the weight for a more comfortable playing experience, without affecting the sound. The innovative body shape offers great comfort which allows you to play for hours on stage or in the studio.
James Valentine's guitar work has been the focal engine component of Maroon 5 for many years now. Featuring hits like 'Moves like Jagger, ''She will be loved,' and 'This Love,' Valentine has adapted to many varieties of playing styles which inspired the versatility of his Sterling collection. This signature guitar combines all of James's greatest features of his favourite guitars with new creative elements.
