The G9555 is reminiscent of the classic 50s designed archtop guitars, originally designed for only acoustics but were later modified for removeable pickups for use with larger bands, allowing the instruments to become an integral part of the rhythm section. Retaining some of the original design features, such as a tortoise shell appearance and compensated rosewood bridge. It all comes together delivering an authentic jazz-box aesthetic.
The G9555 is constructed from a delicate selection of tonewoods. An arched solid spruce top delivers incredible resonance with an exceptional well-balanced tone perfect for fitting a wide variety of genres. This is additionally reinforced by maple back and sides, which adds a bright characteristic to the sound, elevating the high-end to give the guitar a distinct characteristic. The maple addition also gives the guitar incredible projection making it an excellent option acoustically.
