An Alternative Take on the Classic Ukulele

The original ML shape was design by Dean in 1977 to improve tone and sustain, later gaining popularity through Pantera Guitarist Dimebag Darrell. As a ukulele, the ML shape gives this once traditional instrument a new and expressive personality that's inherently Dean. Although far from the classic design, its size is similar to a concert ukulele but projects a unique and distinctive appearance that alternative players will love.

Versatile and Comfortable

Its constructed from a mahogany body and spruce top, delivering versatile tones that suit a wide range playing styles and musical genres. While the spruce offers a crisp articulation and broad dynamic range, the mahogany provides you with meaty tones. The neck features a V-shaped profile to deliver a comfortable playing feel, giving you a better grip and preventing your hand from cramping.

Take your Ukulele to the Stage

The Dean Uke ML also comes equipped with an onboard preamp. This is ideal for live environments since you can plug directly into mixing desks and PA systems without the need to mic up.
