The lightweight nature of Basswood makes the Dean Razorback Dimebag the ultimate stage guitar. Although light in weight Basswood delivers a fat and balanced tone with plenty of mid-range punch and dynamic response. Finished in a classic black lacquer, not only does the Razorback Dimebag sound great, but is also sure to stand out on any stage.
Loaded with two DMT Designed humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position, the Razorback Dimebag delivers a raw and punchy tone with plenty of bottom end and screaming highs. Perfect for a range of hard rock and metal styles the DMT Design humbuckers particularly excel when used for chugging rhythms and fierce lead licks.
The Dean Razorback incorporates a string-thru body construction to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tune-o-matic bridge and passes through the body.
Born in 1966, Dimebag Darrell (Darrell Lance Abbott) is best known for his songwriting and performing in the iconic metal band Pantera. With an extremely unique playing style and signature tone Dimebag fast became a rising star in the metal world and gained an endorsement with Dean Guitars in the 1980s. Having co-designed the now legendary Dean Razorback just months before his death in 2004 Dimebag Darrell has forever earned his place in metal history with his unique playing style and range of impressive guitar finishes.
