Performance and practicality combined. At the heart of the ProDI is the intuitive Eclipse ET-DB2 transformer, delivering a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. No matter how high your signal level gets, you can rest assured that this passive workhorse is able to withstand tremendous transients without distortion. Unlike an active circuit that can overload when the signal exceeds the rail voltage, transformer based DI boxes saturate. This creates a pleasing effect, naturally rounding the tone whilst acting like a subtle limiter. This is particularly beneficial when working with digital pianos, samplers, and drum machines that can produce excessive dynamics.
