Class D amplification makes for a more lightweight, efficient subwoofer that can maximise its output volume. Delivering up to 1400 W of peak power, the SUB 705-AS MK3 gains up to 131 dB of maximum SPL. Combined with RCF's Bass Motion Control technology, the woofer's motion is kept reasonable in spite of the amplifier's immense power, resulting in a consistent, linear, and loud low-end that resists clipping.
With stereo inputs and link/crossover outputs, the SUB 705-AS MK3 is best when matched with a pair of full-range PA speakers. Plus, with adjustable crossover frequency, and a polarity switch, you can achieve cardioid response with multiple units, or simply adjust your subwoofer to any speaker you want.
A good subwoofer should be able to endure challenging conditions, and RCF have built their new range to do just that. More lightweight and easy to carry thanks to their lighter amplification and ergonomic grips, these subwoofers can be stacked and stored easily. An M20 threaded pole mount lets you mount full-range speakers on top of the sub for easy arrays too. Its tough plywood cabinet with a polyurea coating and powder-coated grille resists corrosion and impact damage. Sound foam behind the grille protects internal circuitry from dust or humidity damage, and its front-venting ports make them suitable for use in recessed positions.
