StageScape M20d from Line 6 is designed to be the world's first smart mixing system for live sound. It enables musicians to easily mix their sound when playing live and interact with the mixer in a completely new way. Key to this concept is the groundbreaking, touchscreen that simulates a full stage environment where you can add and edit all elements simply and quickly.

Massive DSP power delivers comprehensive, professional audio processing on every channel including multi channel recording. You can capture 20 seconds of recorded sound to use as a reference or aid for sound check but if you want to record for longer simply add an SD card or computer. The entire system can be controlled remotely from the stage using an iPad so you can easily edit your sound during soundcheck or even whilst playing the show.

Innovative Touchscreen Stage

The 7" colour touchscreen is a completely new type of intuitive interface for a mixer. It displays a full representation of a stage for you to add elements to, replacing generic rows of hard to remember knobs and faders. Arrange the performers and instruments as you see them on stage and simply tap each one to edit their parameters.

Intelligence is built into every aspect of the M20d mixing environment. As soon as you plug something in to the mixer the screen shows a variety of icons for you to choose from. Arrange the stage as it is set up in front of you and useful colour coding makes it easy to tweak and adjust levels.

Designed by musicians, for musicians , the mixer uses terminology that musicians will appreciate and understand. Words such as 'bright' or 'punch' are used to label x/y axis, instead of complicated analytics and you can simply drag the marker until you find the perfect mix of these elements. StageScape allows musicians to do what they do best and use their ears to achieve perfect live sound. If you're an experienced sound engineer who wants more control over the parameters Deep Edit Mode can give you this extra level.

Dynamics, EQ and FX on Every Channel

Custom tailored to each channel on StageScape M20d are a professional suite of dedicated Dynamics, EQ and FX processors. These include fully parametric EQs, dynamic EQs, filters, standard and multi-band compression, limiters, gates, delays and more - over 100 professional audio processors ready to be used to create the perfect mix. Pristine sound quality is achieved thanks to the 32 bit floating point processing throughout.

Line 6 have provided a library of professionally crafted channel DSP presets to get you started and dramatically accelerate the process of getting great sound. For example, plug in a kick drum mic, choose a kick drum preset and StageScape automatically configures a tailored suite of channel processors. You can then drag your finger around the Tweak Pad to make any changes you want and perfect the sound.

The four master stereo effect engines supply pristine reverbs, delays, a vocal doubler and more. Add the perfect ambience and character to lead vocals or use the additional stereo reverb effect engine to create custom tailored instrument or backing vocal reverbs. The vocal doubler can deliver stunning depth and richness to any vocals whilst the fourth engine offers a choice of professional delays, chorus, flanger effects and textures.

Auto Sensing Inputs and Outputs - Monitor Setup

As soon as you plug in any cable the StageScape M20d activates the input and automatically configures a custom channel strip setting that includes essential gain, EQ, effects and routing. The outputs work the same way, plug in a PA speaker or monitor and it immediately appears on the touchscreen and signals are automatically routed.

Control the Mix Via iPad

Adjust the front of house mix from anywhere in the audience or on stage using an iPad and a compatible USB WiFi adaptor. You can even have each band member have their own iPad and control their own monitor mix and then a sound guy out in the audience with another.

The StageScape M20d allows you to record with or without a computer. Capture 16 channels plus the main mix in high resolution, 24 bit WAZ format to SD card, USB drive or direct to your Mac or PC. There's no need to set up DAW - you can mix the tracks in your favourite software later. The M20d offers fast, streamlined recording. The fact that you can record up to 20 seconds to the mixer's internal memory lets you work on the mix easily by looping the recording.

Feedback Suppression and Preamp Gain

The StageScape M20d features per-channel multi-band feedback suppression which quickly identifies problem frequencies and compensates automatically. The StageScape M20d is able to control up to 12 independent feedback frequencies.

Auto Trim and Trim Tracking enable you to speed through soundcheck and give a confident performance. Auto Trim will scan your incoming signals during soundcheck and set the ideal preamp levels for you. Trim Tracking continues to reduce gain during your set if clipping occurs - without changing the mix levels. You'll never need to worry about unwanted distortion in your performance again.

L6 Link

Use the L6 LINK to connect the StageScape M20d to StageSource speaker systems and you can create a digitally networked stage setup. StageScape will automatically recognise which loudspeakers are being used as monitors and routes monitor feeds. Main Pa speakers will self configure, pan stereo signals, adjust Smart Speaker modes and perform system wide optimisation. The mixer also automatically recognises subwoofers and sets crossovers, and detects which loudspeakers are being used as monitors and routes monitor feeds. With the press of a button you can store the settings of your entire PA system.
