The TC Electronic Dark Matter Distortion Pedal is all about that powerful, super-musical roar of an early plexi circuit, a sound mostly associated with the legendary tones before digital. An Old School Distortion

Featuring all-analogue circuitry, dual-band tone controls, and a distortion that stems from the time before digital, the Dark Matter adds degrees on crunch and punch to your sound without affecting the fundamental tone. By ramping up the voltage, to more than 3-4 times the amount of a typical drive pedal, a dramatic increase in terms of headroom and dynamics can be achieved to create an incredibly alive distortion pedal. The addition of a voicing switch allows players to add extra bass for a more modern tone or flicking it in the other direction to create a tone filled with vintage vibes.

The pedal is built from a range of the highest-grade components available, with a strong and durable metal chassis to protect the internal components against moisture and life on the road.
