Solid Mahogany Body with Sound Chambers

The Duesenberg features a Mahogany body that delivers a tone with plenty of warmth, keeping it at a soft level but also providing some good grind to the mix with ample bite to give its tone excellent dynamics and balance. The D52’s body has sound chambers that contribute to a lighter body as well as providing an increase in its amplification. It's finished with an arched Maple top to provide a stylish curved body.

Mahogany Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard

Duesenberg’s D52 possesses a Mahogany neck that compliments its body and brings a good amount of warmth to the guitar's tone. The Rosewood fingerboard has been carefully plek’d and then finished off by hand in order to optimise the neck's comfort and playability as well as mellowing out the tone. With the Mahogany and Rosewood combination the neck offers excellent presence in the lower mids, adds complexity to the highs and helps to thicken up the lows, making them feel creamy.

Domino P90 Pickup

Featuring a single pickup, the D52 has a Duesenberg Domino P90 Pickup which offers three different tones selected via the selector switch. The P90 pickup is a single coil pickup in a humbucker sized casing and provides a bright tone that has plenty of treble, bite and depth whilst keeping it clear. Thanks to Duesenberg’s ingenious wiring, the P90 pickup can produce three distinct sounds with the flip of a switch, from a typical P90 pickup sound that’s fat and present, to a tone that’s glassy and pearl like with full-bodied rhythm, or a tone similar to a P90 pickup situated at the neck to produce a volumetric tone that has a bell like quality to it.

Duesenberg Hardware

The D52 Senior Guitar features Duesenberg’s own hardware, ranging from strap pins to the duel-action steel trussrod. Duesenberg’s bridge system wraps the strings round a single piece and is designed to offer an immediate and precise transfer of vibration from the strings to the body to provide special dynamic transparency to the guitar's tone. The Duesenberg Z-Tuners provides string stability as well as an effortless and fast system to replace your stings. The D52 also features an armrest that’s commonly found on banjos to offer a comfortable play.
