Full bodied, rich, and incomparable. The AAA flame maple neck is essential in forming that powerful tonal quality. A wood traditionally used for violins, the Esquire channels a grace and charm that is unlike any other guitar. The end result? A never ending sustain that'll enchant any audience - it's phenomenal.
When you're on stage, constantly tuning up can be a hassle and an inconvenience. This won't be a problem with the Esquire. The vintage style tuning machines hold your tuning tightly in place, so falling out of tune mid song will be a thing of the past. You'll always sound precise. And you'll be heard fully, too.
The vintage designed '51-'54 bridge with brass saddles conducts the string vibrations excellently - dispersing the captivating tones of the Esquire from bridge to pickup. There's attention in every component to detail. And results in legendary sound.
Riffs effortlessly fall out of this guitar. Every note will be heard clearer than the last. The 'V' neck profile removes any strain you might experience during live performances. Not to mention the single cutaway body, enabling you to reach higher up the fretboard so your solos can truly take off. Crafted from AAA flame maple, your fingers will dance along the fretboard. Even the more complex licks will be met with pure ease. Cramp free - it provides you with ultimate comfort.
The Fender Custom Shop pickups are primed and ready. They are what makes this guitar really stand out. The neck and bridge are installed with hand-wound '51 Nocaster pickups. Overflowing with that 1950's tone, you'll be time travelling back to the glory days of rock 'n' roll. Simply add a little reverb and enjoy the rawness and clarity of these exclusive pickups - making the 1950's feel more alive than ever.
If you're somebody who likes to dabble in genres, you're going to love this guitar. Versatility is very much at the heart of the instrument's design. Fitted with a 3 way toggle switch, it allows you to flick from lead to rhythm in the blink of an eye. Experiment with a gigantic tonal range.
At position 1 you'll really feel the presence of that classic, full-bodied resonance that made the Esquire so great in the first place. Simply turn the blend pot all the way round to mix both neck and bridge pickups to feel the full force of this engine. Why not shift to position 2 for the crunchier neck pickup tone? During a killer solo this prepares a sound that'll crush every note. The final position initiates a darker, more attacking tone - perfect for the more atmospheric, ethereal sections of a song. Explore the Esquire's diversity - you'll have fun doing it...
First built in 1949 by Leo Fender himself, named as the 'Broadcaster' - it was one of the first ever Fender instruments to be made. They later developed into the other Fender instruments we know and love today - but the Esquire is Fender in it's purest, untouched form.
The impact on popular culture the Esquire has had is astounding. From Bruce Springsteen's hugely successful Born to Run to featuring on The Beatles' seminal Sgt Pepper. Over the last 70 years, the Esquire's mark on music can be heard on some of the greatest albums of all time.
Even before The Beatles' time, the legendary lead guitarist for Johnny Cash - Luther Perkins swore by the Esquire. Using it to create the 'boom-chicka-boom' style of playing which redefined rock 'n' roll forever. This quickly became the archetypal sound of the 1950's. You can hear it today - simply plug in and get lost.
A top quality guitar needs a top quality case. Safely protected from all the elements, you can ensure your pride and joy will remain in the immaculate condition you left it in. This hard case will preserve your Esquire till the bitter end - even during the stressful period of transporting gear from venue to venue. You can relax - your guitar is in safe hands.
