Built to offer stunning tones and high-powered projection, the ’64 Custom Deluxe Reverb has been designed with a range of powerful electronics that ensure you aren’t wanting more. It has been crafted with a pair of 6V6 Groove tubes that offer a low output, distorting easily and providing rich harmonics and a warm, soft response. It also comes designed with 12AX7 and 12AT7 preamp tubes that work well to deliver an excellent combination of smooth, sweet tones with a high to mid gain.
The ’64 features two channels, a normal and a bright channel, alongside independent volume and EQ controls for excellent tone shaping. Its spring reverb also works on both channels, allowing you to add an extra depth to your playing.
Thanks to its classic 12” Jenson C12Q speaker, you are provided with Fender’s classic tones. A well-rounded sound is produced, packed with plenty of midrange bite. Whilst its straightforward tonal qualities make it perfect for a wide range of music, the tight-low end and bright high-end make it ideal for rock and blues music. It also offers an aggressive midrange and edgy overdrive for those who want to push their tones to the max.
One leading factor behind the creation of the ‘64 Custom Deluxe was the success of the original Black Panel. This model has been built with historical accuracy and a great invitation to detail, ensuring toy receive the same care and feel as the original. Whilst this Deluxe is wired in the vintage method, it still features thoughtful tweaks to accommodate the modern guitarist.
Alongside its perfect sound and projection, this Deluxe Reverb also comes complete with a range of features that allow it to maintain its classic Fender status and quality. The lightweight pine enclosure has been covered by an extra-heavy black textured vinyl and equipped with a lightly aged silver grille cloth that gives it the incredible aesthetic to look good on any stage. Another classic design is the vintage-style skirted black plastic control knobs, offering effortless tweaking.
