The Gretsch G5435 Limited Edition Electromatic Pro Jet in Fairlane Blue is designed with a chambered basswood body topped with laminated maple, creating a lightweight guitar with excellent resonance. The chambered design magnifies the harmonic richness of the tonewood, letting air resonate between the top and bottom to create a beautifully live and articulate tone. While the basswood body delivers a well-rounded sound, the maple top adds brightness for a full-bodied tone with plenty of sparkle.
The Gretsch features a set of Blacktop Filter'Tron pickups which provide Gretch's signature jangly tones. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control, provided alongside a master volume and tone to craft you overall output to exactly how you like it. Gretsch guitars have found their voice in all sorts of genres, from the Merle Travis picking of country-boy Chet Atkins through to the raucous tones of Malcolm Young in ACDC. With the G5435 Electromatic Pro and its Filter'Tron pickups, you'll have access to that unique range of sounds and be joining a long heritage of famous guitarists.
The Gretsch G5435 Electromatic Pro Jet features vintage-inspired hardware to give it a cool aesthetic. Beautiful chrome 'G Arrow' control knobs feature alongside vintage tuners, while the unique thumbnail inlays add a limited edition touch to this instrument. This guitar isn't just about the looks though, and the 12" radius rosewood fretboard with medium frets ensures comfortable playability with easy access to the top-frets, courtesy of the single cutaway design. A bone nut assists with sustain while the "V" stoptail and adjusto-matic bridge provide both excellent string tone transference and retro-looks. The G5435 Pro Jet really does play as well as it looks, and with its light weight and comfortable action, it should be the perfect cool-looking gigging instrument.
