9 Ply Walnut/Mahogany Neck

Constructed from a 9Ply Walnut and Mahogany neck with neck-thru construction the Firebird T 2016 offers unbeatable resonance and sustain as the vibrations pass seamlessly from the neck through to the body. Additionally the neck thru construction allows for a sculpted, smooth neck heel for effortless access to the higher frets perfect for quick transitions from rhythm to lead playing. With a historic neck width of 1.6875 inches the Firebird T offers a familiar and comfortable feel perfect for a range of playing styles.

Graph Tech Nut

The white Graph Tech nut offers increased harmonics in the middle and upper frequency range perfect for a rich and detailed tone. Designed to optimize sustain and response the Graph Tech nut is also self-lubricating which means returning to the original pitch after string bends is extremely quick and accurate.

Traditional Firebird Mini-Humbuckers

Loaded with two traditional Firebird Mini Humbucking Pickups the 2016 Firebird T pumps out a rich, clear and biting tone which sounds just as fantastic today as when they were first introduced in late 1960s. Designed to replicate the original mini humbucker the Firebird Mini-Humbuckers feature bar Alnico II magnets, 2 conductor wiring and deliver an undeniably bright and focused tone.

Tune-O-Matic Bridge

Tune-O-Matic bridges are an extremely popular fixed bridge type due to their stability, reliability, comfortable playing position and impressive sustain. Additionally adjusting the string action and intonation is extremely simple with a tune-o-matic bridge. Simply adjust the height of the bridge with the mounting rods to alter the action and screw in or out the bridge saddles to achieve perfect intonation.
