The Squier Jazzmaster has a striking asymmetrical body with deep cutaways for improved upper fret access. The solid Basswood gives you a powerful midrange and is surprisingly lightweight. The uncomprimising Antigua finish guarantees you'll be noticed for all the right reasons on stage.
The supple Maple neck is lightly tinted and shaped to the slender modern C profile. A Rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets and pearloid block inlays and binding gives you plenty of sustain. The scale length along the neck is 30" which is longer than your average electric guitar neck giving you plenty of room for those solos. It also allows the thicker Baritone strings to remain under tension, resonate fully and keep their full tone.
The Vintage Modified Baritone Jazzmaster is fitted with a pair of Duncan Designed JM-101N and JM-101B single coil soapbar pickups with Alnico 5 magnets in the neck and bridge postions respectively. These powerful magnets girantee a smooth output at any volume. The Master Tone control allows you to shape the output for both pickups, and a 3-position toggle switch selects each pickup or creates a blend of both.
