Comprised of the finest materials, each of the note bars are constructed from aluminium alloy. This ensures exceptional projection with a full-bodied tone that complements the warmth of the satinised finish, whilst the non-graduated set-up offers maximum flexibility thanks to its compact size. There’s good reason why some of the world’s leading orchestras, ensembles and bands use Premier instruments. Since it was first established in 1922, Premier have dominated the market; each product has continued to echo the sustained claims of quality determined by their drum kits.
With almost 100 years of success and hindsight backing them, Premier continued to expand their range taking advantage of the latest technology to satisfy the wants and needs of the modern player, whilst paying respect to the companies’ heritage.
Versatile performance capabilities
At the heart of the vibraphone lies an in-built variable speed motor and control unit. The decision to house the motor within the frame in contrast to the exterior guarantees greater stability and minimises the risk of potential damage when transporting. As well as this, it helps maintain the motor speed variance by holding it securely in position.
The control unit can be used to determine the speed of the motor by turning the fans which cut off the resonators when horizontal, and open them when vertical. This continual change creates minor fluctuations in pitch, providing a vibrato/tremolo effect. Incredibly silent, the motor grants maximum expression with minimal noise.
Compact and convenient
Despite its compact size the Premier Orchestral 3.0 Octave Vibraphone provides the same sound quality you’d expect from large scale vibraphones. The benefit of its standard uniform width keys is that it can easily be condensed into a smaller form to accommodate to vehicle space and living arrangements, making it ideal for when space is premium.
Unique design
The 3.0 Octave Vibraphone’s rail suspension system sets it apart from the competition. It has been purposely manufactured to ensure note frame stability, keeping it perfectly in line with the resonators. The aluminium CNC resonators are also cut seamlessly to reduce undesirable noise and vibration when playing.
