The 14'' x 5.5'' PDP Maple/Walnut Snare produces huge vintage-style undertones with a seriously tight, focused attack. The head produces a serious crack that adds a big punch to your backbeat with a wide-open release of fat undertones. The chrome, DW hardware provides stability and durability to your performances and tuning, with the matte-lacquered finish providing a cool, vintage visual aesthetic to match.

Reliable hardware

The hardware included with the PDP Limited Edition Maple/Walnut Snare is high-quality, high-durability chrome DW hardware. The true pitch tension rods and dual turret lugs provide consistent and reliable tuning throughout your performances, and on a visual note, really complement the matte finish walnut/maple shell. The MAG Throw-Off is a secure mechanism that won't drop off randomly during performances due to the magnetic mechanism keeping it in place. Included on the PDP 14'' x 5.5'' Snare is a coated Remo head, providing durability and adding further qualities to the rich, warm tone of this snare drum.

This innovative design corresponds to the ''true'' shape of the drum plus its mounting hardware and the universal teardrop shape allows a much snugger fit. The plush interior is complemented by the strength and durability of a weather resistant and waterproof, 600 denier polyester exterior with a double stitch for added strength.

Dyna-Zip™ and DX-Core™

The Dyna-Zip™ zipping system makes taking your drum in and out of the case much easier. Combining a cutaway design with a zip that travels along the diameter of the case as well as down both sides. The exclusive DX-Core™ provides the security of two layers of high impact foam padding plus the softness of premium grade Sherpa fleece lining. This construction significantly increases both the shock absorption capability of the case and the protection of your drums.
